“Vamos Perú is a Peruvian Cumbia piece written for band ensemble. I wrote both the lyrics and the music. It is inspired by the rich natural landscape of Perú, more specifically by its marvelous and luscious Amazonian Forest. It is a sport hymn created to inspire Peru’s Soccer National Selection. Most hymns are in musical genres that come from Peru’s Creole Coast and the Andes but this is so far the only sport hymn that comes from Peru’s Amazonian Rainforest.
